[FIRST IMPRESSION] Lorac – TANtilizer (Matte Bronzer/Highlighter Duo)

I’ve heard of this being an amazing bronzer and highlighter. I’ve been extremely interested in it ever since I’ve seen some YouTube-ers talk and rave about it. I saw this mini duo at Ulta retailing for $13, the original size retails for $33.

PicsArt_738726.049478875Packaging: I love the color of the packaging and the overall look of it. However, I wouldn’t mind both of them were packaged together if the bronzer wasn’t so powdery. The fallout from the powder gets into the highlighter and some of the particles are so small that they settle into the highlighter.

Pigmentation: The bronzer isn’t too pigmented, and even when I swatch it, it’s nothing extraordinary. When I use it as a contour I really can’t see much of a difference and even when I pack more on, it’s not very noticeable. The highlighter is a lot better in terms of pigmentation. It’s not like a harsh champagne color, it blends in nicely and isn’t too noticeable. There doesn’t look like there’s heavy chunks of shimmer in it. However, in the sunlight (up close) it looks like there are chunks of shimmer. I’ve also been asked by my boyfriend why I look shiny, so that’s something to take into consideration too.

Longevity: I don’t notice the bronzer lasting too long. It seems like after 4-5 hours it’s already wearing down. The highlighter seems to last around the same amount of time, but it’s difficult to tell whether it’s my actual oils slipping through or if it’s the actual highlight.

Price: I don’t think this is worth the price. I only paid $13 for it, but I’ve seen drug store options that are more pigmented and better quality. I’ve even used a bronzer/blush duo from Forever 21, and the bronzer is more pigmented and provides a longer wear-time.

Overall: I’m not impressed and I wish I didn’t spend that $13 on it. The highlighter is okay, but I think I’d rather stick to my Benefit Watts Up stick highlighter or my Too Faced Sweetheart Blush in Peach Beach, I use the top gold color as a highlighter.

I know I try to stick to drug store products, when it comes to review purposes, but I didn’t want any of you to fall into the same “trap” as I did. However, if you do enjoy this product, let me know why in the comments! Or, if you have tried a drug store bronzer or highlighter, let me know too so I can check it out!
