I love elf’s line of cosmetics because they offer two options, extremely affordable and affordable. This particular eyeliner comes from their extremely affordable option and it can be found at Target for $2 (prices went up a little bit). Let’s jump to the review.
Get no smudge with no-budge eyeliner, which creates a fabulous and fresh look of precision that lasts for hours. The smooth felt tip applicator easily glides on color for very fine to bold lines for effortless beauty. – elf website
- The Color: The pigmentation is surprisingly opaque, however, I don’t consider this a teal color. It’s more on the navy side. The picture below is just one swipe of the eyeliner right out of the box
- The Applicator: I’ve tried the black version of this eyeliner and I did notice that with that one, the felt tip can be easily frayed. With this particular eyeliner, I do notice that it can be frayed, but I also noticed that it looses it’s stiffness after one application. Since the applicator is a little bit longer than your typical felt tip eyeliner, it’s important that it keeps it stiffness to apply a fluid/smooth line.
- Application: It applied smoothly and on my first eye, the line was easy to control and I could create a variety of thickness. When I went to apply it on my other eye, it was a little more difficult to control and the line wasn’t as fluid and smooth.
- Longevity: I was honestly surprised to see that it had lasted for almost 10 hours. I applied it at about 8:00 am and when I got home from work, I took a nap, then took off my makeup at around 6:30. I was surprised to see, that after my nap, the eyeliner was still in tact and it didn’t smudge. However I must note that my right eye is a double-lid and my left eye is a mono-lid, it stayed put on my right side, but not on my left, which is typical for any type of eyeliner that I use.
If you’re looking to experiment with eyeliner colors, I do think this is a great option to try out, however, if you have extremely oily lids, I don’t suggest this product for you. You’ll most likely experience the product breaking down as the day goes on. At $2 a pen, I think this a great affordable option in terms of eyeliner and the color isn’t bright, so you can get away with wearing it in an office setting. The longevity is extremely impressive, but the actual felt tip applicator may be a little tricky to work with the more you use it.
