I saw this tag floating around YouTube and I thought it would be a fun idea to show you guys my holy grail, OG, ride or die products. Instead of jamming everything into one post I decided to split it up by face, eyes, and lips. I also am going to show some of my department store brand faves. For now here are my drugstore picks for the face.
I hate having to spend a lot on a simple product – I seriously can’t imagine spending more than $6 on a pressed powder, especially because I feel like majority of pressed powders do the same thing. I have gone through maybe 5-6 of these things and I would honestly use it more often if it was easier for me to find. I just love how affordable it is and it does it’s job. It sets my foundation and keeps it set throughout the day. I never had any problem with it and I honestly would use this for the rest of my life! Seriously, it’s great. The downsides are that it’s difficult to find in stores and they don’t have a wide shade range.
Another extremely affordable product that I swear by. To be honest, I haven’t gone through multiple pans of these because I’ve been using a lot of different department store bronzers, but this is definitely my go-to when it comes to drugstore bronzers. Though it’s a little on the orangey side, I do think it’s a great pick up for anybody in the market for an affordable bronzer – just don’t go too crazy with it.
This is another product that I have purchase multiples of over the years. I honestly just love how lightweight it feels and how it doesn’t really settle into my fine lines. Though it doesn’t have the staying power like my MAC Pro Long wear concealer, it’s great for everyday uses. Again, another relatively affordable product and I just love how it slightly brightens my under eye area.
I have to admit when I first tried this, I wasn’t too impressed. It was just an okay foundation and I didn’t like how it clung to the dry patches I had. Over the months, my skin has actually gotten a lot better (I switched to a more intense moisturizer) and after returning from my vacation I needed a darker foundation shade. So I went back to this (I did use up my first bottle) and I have to say this is one of my favorite foundations. I remember as I was using up my first bottle, I started to like the foundation more and more and it actually reminds me a little bit of my Clinique Beyond Perfecting foundation. I definitely love this and it will always be a go-to foundation for me.
