What’s In Janellie’s Belly | What I Ate Wednesday

Hi hi hi!

I had another FAIL week :[ Why do I suck at this?! Anyhow, I was able to salvage this What’s In Janellie’s Belly, but before I go into this any more, I wanted to put in a shameless plug:

Alright, now let’s see what was in my belly today!

Well, I was so hungry from the night before that I completely forgot to take a picture of what I had for breakfast, but at least I am a part of the “Clean Plate Club!” For breakfast, I had a serving of Hurricane Salad – a Hawaiian style pasta salad that has seaweed salad, dressing, pasta, and a couple other things, but overall extremely delicious! I also had a service of grilled chicken from a local restaurant called Ohana BBQ (Hawaiian style plate lunches). It was a hearty breakfast since I had woken up earlier to go to the gym and by the time I got home I was ready to grub!

Yes, the picture was used in a previous What’s In Janellie’s Belly, but I had the same exact thing – a chicken artichoke sandwich from Starbucks and my beloved Chestnut Praline Latte. It’s simple and delicious! If you are calorie conscious I would highly suggest staying away from the chicken artichoke sandwich, even though it is so stinkin delicious! Maybe I will think of a way to make a lower calorie option (video idea)!

For dinner we kept it pretty simple: a small serving of rice, meat jun (thinly sliced marinated meat, lightly coated in flour, egg wash and then fried) and some homemade turkey noodle soup (absolutely delicious). I ended up not eating all of the soup and gave most of it to my sister and mom to finish.

I was extremely bad on the snacking and I ended up having a snack size bag of Lay’s Sour Cream and Onion potato chips as well as a slice of my sister’s birthday cake for dessert! So bad I know, but it was for her birthday (which was on Monday) and I feel like that’s a good reason to have cake!

I swear I will try to get better at this, it’s just tough to remember what day it is especially when you have a holiday on Monday!
