Hi hi hi!
A journey is filled with ups and downs and unfortunately I’ve had many downs. With the whole move, I placed my diet and exercise on the back burner and focused on the whole move. Now that I’ve been in my new place for a while, it was time to focus on my health once again.
Unfortunately the new area that I live in has a smaller gym and older equipment – it’s probably 1/4 of the size of my original gym, so it was a bit difficult to find the motivation to go to the gym.
Since I haven’t been motivated to go to the gym, I decided to just focus on my diet. Basically it’s the opposite of what I was doing when I lived with my parents; when I lived with my parents, I focused more on the physical exercise rather than my diet. Living on my own has made it a lot easier for me to incorporate more vegetables and leaner meats into my everyday diet. It was tough to do that when I lived with my family, because I wasn’t just cooking for me, I had to cook for them as well and it could get extremely pricey buying fresh produce for a family of five.
Though I’ve technically failed on my journey, the most important part is getting back up and starting with baby steps all over again. I decided to record my journey and show some of the recipes that I’ve been relying on for the past few weeks – if you’re interested, you can check it out here! I’m hoping that I’ll be able to get myself out of this rut and start exercising again. If you have any tips or recipes that you would like to share, please let me know in the comments down below!
