Hi hi hi!
If you don’t follow me on YouTube, you are seriously missing out! Just kidding – I have been trying to post weekly vlogs where I talk about not only what I’m eating, but also my mental health and the things that I’m dealing with. Once that’s posted on my channel, I come on here and go more in depth to how the week went. So for those who like the short version, head over to my YouTube channel, but if you like a more in depth version, continue reading.
The past few months have been pretty rough for me. Unfortunately for me my anxiety attacks have escalated a bit and I have had a lot of headaches and dizzy spells. It has gotten to the point where it has affected my attendance at work and I have to say it’s driving me insane. I thought that by eating healthier I would be able, in a way, cleanse my body and get rid of a lot impurities that I may have in my body. However, I feel like my mental health continues to keep going down and down and I feel like it’s starting to affect my physical health.
I have been working hard to just feel normal, but unfortunately it’s not working. I try to ignore the symptoms, but when I sit down all day, it’s not easy to just ignore how quick my heart is beating or how much my head is pounding. For me it’s easier to ignore the symptoms when I’m walking around or actually focusing on doing something that I enjoy, like blogging or editing videos.
In regards to what I have been eating, I have been steering away a little from a lot of the vegetables and believe it or not, it kind of left me feeling sluggish. I missed having that pop of something different in my meals. I have also continued to stray away from a lot of fried foods; however I do not try to force myself to stay away from certain foods (except for sweets/desserts) because I now it’s going to make me crave it more. Instead I just try not to think of the foods I want to indulge on. Here and there I will indulge in something sweet, but I just try to make sure I have portion control.
Earlier last year, I figured out that my body doesn’t do well with a lot of gluten, so when I have too much of it I begin feeling sick and I begin to get pain in my lower abdomen (usually from being backed up – TMI I know, but I’m just keeping it real). During this week, I noticed that I began to get backed up and I started feeling the pain, so I tried to cut down on all the carbs I was taking in and go back to eating more rice, which is easier for me to digest.
Overall, it was an okay week food wise, but health wise it was extremely tough. I also found it difficult to have the motivation to actually cook food, but luckily I had some leftovers from my mini housewarming to eat.
