It’s that time of the year again! Can you believe that Christmas will be here soon! I have already started my Christmas shopping, but I wanted to share mini gift guides to provide you some inspiration this season. Today I’m sharing my picks for some beauty products, focusing on the eyes. I feel like we each have a favorite type of product, whether it be face (i.e. foundation, blush, bronzer, etc.), eyes (palettes, eyeshadows, cremes, etc.), lips (i.e. lip gloss, lipsticks, etc.), skincare (i.e. masks, moisturizers, etc.).
Anyhow, today we are going to focus on some eye products from Sephora. I must add in a disclaimer – I decided not to put in any mascaras because it’s one of those products that people can be extremely picky with.
Urban Decay – Naked Palette – $54.00 In every makeup collection, whether you are a beginner or a true makeup artist, a staple neutral palette is a must. Urban Decay has created a blend of neutral colors that can be used to create a wide-array of looks. The colors can work great with any skin tone and you don’t have to worry about the quality of the product. This is a great palette for a beginner because the colors aren’t extremely intimidating. If they want, they can stick to the lighter colors and as they gain confidence in their abilities, they can venture into the darker colors. It’s a great everyday palette that will get a lot of use.
Too Faced – Matte Chocolate Chip Eyeshadow Palette -$26.00 Personally, I feel like we all have that one family member or friend who either travels a lot or likes to have a very minimal type of lifestyle. This palette is perfect for them. It incorporates the infamous concept of Too Faced’s Chocolate Bar Palette, but in a miniature version. You have the easy to blend mattes that can be used all over the lid on their own (and blended to the crease) or you can combine the colors to create a simple neutral matte eye. Not everyone likes to have a ton of shimmery shades, and this palette offers it in a compact case. I prefer this particular palette over the Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette ($29) because there is a better variety of colors/tones that can be used to create multiple looks.
Huda Beauty Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette – $29.00 Personally, I have been wanting to test out a Huda Beauty Palette, however, the price-point is a little too much for me, but I have only heard amazing things about the quality of the product. I decided to add this particular palette in because I felt like it was a happy marriage between the two palettes above. You get the compact, easy to travel with eye palette that has an array of colors to provide multiple looks. There are three other color combinations to select from, a more warm-toned cranberry palette, a smokey-tone incorporating some silver and taupe, and finally a bright palette. This covers a variety of individuals, but keep in mind that majority of the palettes are warm-toned.
Stila – Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner – $22.00 If you have stumbled/read through my blog before, you would know how much I simply adore this eyeliner. I have been using this liner for maybe 2-3 years and it is my holy grail eyeliner. After a long 10+ hour day, it doesn’t budge and it’s just a prominent as when I put it on in the beginning of the day. I decided to add this in here, because I feel like it’s an easy eyeliner to work with. Obviously, not everyone is going to agree with that, because it is a felt-tip, but when I was a beginner in makeup, I found that using a felt tip was easier to use than a pencil, gel/brush, etc. Also, this particular eyeliner comes in a variety of colors! There are so many to choose from.
Anastasia Beverly Hills – Modern Renaissance Eye Palette – $42.00 Yes, I know, another palette, but I wanted to throw this in here because this may be on the list of some of the younger ones in your life. The Modern Renaissance palette is one of those palettes that I feel like was on the wish list of so many; and I like to think it’s still probably on the wish list of some out there. The palette contains warm oranges and cranberries and with the quality of these eye shadows you would expect to pay a little more. This is a conservatively priced palette, but sure to please any recipient.
Stila – Written in the Stars Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow Set – $25.00 This particular set isn’t going to be everybody’s cup of tea. The product itself is extremely shimmery/glittery and intense. I actually picked this up for one of my cousins – I figured that she would love to play around with some of the beautiful shimmery colors and have it stay all day. I opted to go with a set like this instead of gifting her a full-size tube because she gets to play around with it and test out a product that she has seen her favorite YouTubers use. Even if she doesn’t use it all the time, she gets to have a variety of colors and she doesn’t have to worry about using a full tube of it.
Sephora – Dark Rainbow Antibacterial Brush Set – $62.00 Whether you are a beginner or a professional, I feel like having a good travel brush set is extremely important. I included this particular set from Sephora in this guide because I love their brushes. I can’t always afford to purchase them, but the quality is really good. I have a couple brushes that have held up for 4+ years and every time I wash them, it’s like they’re brand new. When I travel, I would rather pack my full-size face brushes rather than my eye brushes simply because I feel like my eye brushes are more prone to getting bent/destroyed in your travel makeup bag since they are smaller and can be easily pushed into a corner. I like that these come with their own case and they are extremely travel friendly.
Laura Mercier – Mode To Modern Caviar Stick Eye Colour Collection – $38.00 If you have someone in your life who like no-fuss products, this is a great option for them. The Caviar Sticks are a great way to add a wash of color on your eyes without messing with any eye shadow. You will want to make sure that they either have a great base to go along with this product OR they will need to have non-greasy lids. These colors are versatile and are everyday colors that can easily be incorporated into any look.
