Christmas 2017 – Beauty Gift Guide – Eyes (Ulta)

Christmas 2017 - Eyes (Ulta)

Hi hi hi!

Just a couple of days ago I shared my gift guide featuring eye products from Sephora, today I’m going to show you some of my picks from Ulta! One thing I noticed when I was browsing Ulta’s gift guide was that there weren’t a lot of unique eye palettes/products that caught my attention. I found a lot of face/lip sets that I thought were great, but unfortunately it seemed like they were promoting a lot of palettes that have been around for a while. Anyhow, let’s jump into my picks!

Like my previous post, I did not include any mascaras because I find that most people tend to be picky when it comes to mascaras, so I tried to stick to products that could appeal to a variety of folks.

Morphe – Jaclyn Hill Eyeshadow Palette – $38.00                                               I personally have this palette and I love the variety of looks that I can create. It inspires me to think outside of the box and think of new combinations that I can use. There are a few things I wish this palette didn’t include, but this is a great gift for someone who likes to push the envelope when it comes to their makeup. It’s a palette that they will be able to use to create simple, everyday neutral looks, but then on the weekends (or whenever) they can create bright bold- in your face looks as well. The great part is that it doesn’t break the bank so if you are shopping on a budget, this would be a great option compared to some of the priceier palettes out there this holiday season.

IT! Cosmetics – Naturally Pretty Vol. 1 Matte Luxe Transforming Eyeshadow Palette – $42.00                                                                                 Now, if you have someone in your life who likes to stick to the neutral tones/colors, this would be an option. The pigmentation is great and I have heard that the eye shadows are extremely easy to blend. I would select this particular palette for someone a little older because it has a lot of the mattes that are easy to work with and create simple everyday looks that can be easily transformed to evening looks by popping any of the darker colors in the outer crease. You should note that the colors in this particular palette are mainly cool-tone, so if you are thinking about getting this for someone with a warm skin tone, you will want to reconsider.

Lorac – PRO Matte Palette – $28.00                                                                        Compared to the IT! Cosmetics palette mentioned above, this palette contains darker mattes with warmer undertones. Much like the palette above, it provides the person you gift this to the opportunity create a variety of everyday looks and the option to transform the looks to a night-time sultry look. This is also great for someone who likes to keep their collection to a minimum; this palette can easily become an everyday go-to.
Makeup Revolution – Iconic Pro 1 Eyeshadow Palette – $12.00                       If the above palettes are out of your price range, this is a great option. It provides a range of cool-tones and warm-tones in neutral colors that provide the ability to create everyday looks that can easily transition from day-to-night. The great thing about this palette is the price point. I have another palette (not the same one) from this brand and just the weight of the palette alone makes it feel like it should be twice the cost. The size of the eye shadows in this palette is larger than what you would typically find in most palettes and will last a very long time. The main reason that this product is on my list is because the value/quality you get for the price. Not everyone has an extravagant price range and this can fit any budget.

Dose of Colors – Bakes Brown Eyeshadow Palette – $32.00                              I must admit, I have some people in my life who like to keep things basic and simple. This palette would be perfect for the person who loves routine and doesn’t like to mess around with a ton of different colors. Though the price-point is a little more, you can find comfort in knowing that this can easily become their go-to everyday eyeshadow palette. They have the option to use all the colors, or stick to a couple. Plus since it’s not a full palette, it’s not as intimidating. If you know someone who is slowly easing their way into makeup, this would be a great gift to give. Dose of Colors has this in a couple other shades that you can also check out.

If you have someone in your life who is a makeup lover, but you’re just not sure what to gift them, this would be an option to consider. It’s an all in one palette that combines everything you need to finish off a look. The best part is the price. It can easily fit any budget and you don’t have to worry about what you’re purchasing. Everything in the palette is neutral and the colors are extremely user friendly.
Surprisingly I didn’t find a bunch of eye palettes in Ulta’s gift guide and other products didn’t really catch my eye. I picked the above products because they are user friendly and can appeal to a range of users and the great thing is is that some of these products are extremely budget friendly, without being skimpy on the quality.
