[Lifestyle] Keto Diet – Family First – January 9-10, 2018

Hi hi hi!

My days are so mixed up! I keep thinking today (January 10th) is Thursday! Anyhow, I hope you guys had a great Tuesday and Wednesday. I wasn’t able to post my food diary yesterday due to a family matter that needed my attention, but I am back with two days in one post! Don’t worry, I don’t think it’ll be too overwhelming.

Breakfast:

Yesterday and today I prepared basically the same breakfast – Little Sizzler scramble(ish) with olives and tomatoes on Tuesday and just mushrooms today. The main difference is that on Tuesday, I used 2 egg whites that was leftover from my carbonara. So yummy and so filling!

No mid-morning snack.

Lunch:

If you have been following my posts, there are no surprises here with what I had for lunch… so I’m not even going to talk about it!

Afternoon Snack:

On Tuesday, I was extremely hungry for some reason, so I decided to eat the almonds I had prepped. Yum!

Dinner:

So dinner was a little tricky on Tuesday – I went over to my parentals house and of course they didn’t really have a ton of options for me, but I had this Chinese eggplant dish with fried tofu, 2 battered and fried shrimp, my hard boiled egg and ½ of a small Fuji apple. Wednesday’s dinner consisted of 2 McDouble’s without the bun and a sausage egg McMuffin without the English muffin. My grandpa had gotten discharged so I stayed with my grandparents till about 10:00 at night. It wasn’t till I was driving home did I realize I was starving! Obviously I demolished it so unfortunately… no pictures ☹️

Evening Snack:

On Tuesday, I had found my baggy of almonds that I didn’t finish eating from my drive home on Monday, so I finished that up.

Energy:

Yesterday and today (Wednesday) was the most tired I have felt. Not so much of a, “I need to sleep” tired, but more of a, “I just need a moment,” tired. It’s not easy dealing with family issues, especially health issues, that arise and I am the one who who worries the most in my family. So of course, it leads to me being overly stressed out throughout the day. When I got back home on Tuesday night, I slept and I slept hard – I mean, I don’t even remember hitting snooze on my 2 alarms! However, I wasn’t overly sleepy at work.

Overall:

Besides the little family issue, I am still feeling really good. I have began to see little changes in my tummy area and some of my pants and leggings are beginning to fit a lot better than they have been the past few months. It’s exciting to see the small progressions and even more exciting to feel the changes.
