[Lifestyle] Keto Diet – No Work! – January 15, 2018

Hi hi hi!

I am so excited that I had a day off today. To be honest, after this past week, I really just needed a break from everything. Today consisted of a lot of meal prepping for the remaining of this week and the hopefully it will last through the half of next week. Anyhow, let’s get into today’s food diary!

Pre-Breakfast:IMG_6456.jpg

I chugged a bunch of water, but I also had a serving of my NutraKey Raspberry ketones in about 4-5 tablespoons of cold water.

I actually wasn’t too hungry when I woke up this morning. My morning began at around 8:30(ish) and it wasn’t till about 10:00 that I felt like I wanted to eat something, but even then I just wanted something small to keep me fueled throughout the rest of the day.

No snacks, but I did have half a serving of pre-workout mixed with about 2.5 ounces of water.IMG_6455.jpgExercise:

My boyfriend was also off today so he came over and we went to the gym for a little bit. I spent about 5 minutes on the treadmill at a brisk walk to warm up and headed over to some of the machines. Here’s what I did:

  • Lat Pull-Downs: 5 sets of 5 reps
  • Triceps Pushdown: 5 sets of 5 reps
  • Flys (10 lb): 5 sets of 5

Today wasn’t too crazy and I didn’t spend too much time, but it was something which is what I wanted.

Lunch:

It wasn’t till about 3:30 that I felt hungry, so I warmed up the last of my pesto casserole and some of my zucchini carbonara with some low-moisture shredded mozzarella and three pepperonis. As per usual, I forgot to take a picture of it!

I decided to freestyle dinner tonight and make a casserole! It was a simple casserole and I combined:

  • Broccoli
  • Carrots
  • Mushrooms
  • Asparagus
  • Chicken
  • Low-moisture mozzarella cheese

and I brought it together with a heavy cream sauce seasoned with garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, garlic salt, oregano, and a teeny bit of cinnamon. I have to say, it’s extremely delicious, but I would have added more cheese to the casserole so that it would combine better and hot sauce to the cream to add another layer of flavor.

Energy:

On Friday and during the whole weekend I was extremely tired, but today I woke up feeling great! During the weekend I tend to let myself be more lax on my diet and really found myself feeling lethargic and tired. Once I got back to my new-normal diet during the day, I found my energy coming back.

Overall:

Like I mentioned, on the weekends I am more lax on my diet and on Sunday I had the weirdest experience. My family and I picked up Cane’s for lunch and after eating 2 of the strips, fries, and 1/3 Texas toast, I felt sick to my stomach. I decided to move around to help myself digest and took a little nap while the Saints vs. Vikings game was on. Once I woke up, I ate 2 small cookies that come in those Christmas tins and again I felt myself feeling extremely sick. So I chugged a bunch of water and waited for dinner. Dinner didn’t really help though because it was tonkatsu (thin pork cutlets prepped and cooked like chicken katsu). After having half of one cutlet, I wasn’t feeling well again. I think my body is having some troubles digesting gluten/high carb foods. I don’t mind that my body is having this change because it will make doing this diet a bit easier.

I hope you guys were able to enjoy your day off (if you had it). If you didn’t have a day off, I hope that you at least had a great day! I am hoping to continue showing my progress and journey on Instagram (@ciaociao808). You can also check out my Pinterest board “Must Try” for some keto friendly recipes that I’m wanting to test out!

xoxo,
