Hi hi hi!
As many of you know, Wet n Wild has recently revamped their eyeshadow palette formulas. I was a huge fan of the original Comfort Zone palette and I absolutely loved it because it was extremely affordable and pigmented. It gave all my department store brands/higher-end brands palettes a run for their money. Anyhow, let’s see how this compares.
The new Comfort Zone has added matte shades (“Transitions”) and the other colors look relatively familiar, just in a different layout. When swatched, the new palette’s colors seem more pigmented and have the same shift, but when actually applied with a brush, it doesn’t translate the same way. In application I felt like some of the more colorful shades lost its vibrancy.
The transition shades on the other hand are extremely pigmented and blend pretty well. In fact, the first time I used it, I felt disappointed. Completely different from my first experience with the original palette.Overall, I think it’s a great buy if you are looking for decent quality with a good price point. I wish they would have incorporated a matte cream instead of two transition colors, but that will be my gripe. If you have a pretty extensive eyeshadow collection, this is a definite pass. There are a few unique shades in this palette that were also incorporated in the original, but other than that, there aren’t too many “must have” shades.
