Hi hi hi!
It’s been a while since I posted any type of beauty post, but with the VIB sale here, I wanted to share my wish list. Also, if you have any input in regards to any of the products I mention, please share them with me in the comments below! This list consists of (almost) everything I would want to buy from Sephora during the VIB sale if money wasn’t an issue. Obviously, your girl here aint rolling in them bills, so I can only lust over some of these. However, I do plan on actually picking up a couple of these products, but I will let you know which ones.
Lately I haven’t been happy with my skin. I think with the extra stress that I have been feeling for the past few months, plus struggling to keep a skincare routine, my skin isn’t what it used to be. I have a lot more texture around my cheeks and my pores are larger than before. I haven’t changed the products that I use, but I know it’s due to my laziness in regards to my nighttime routine.
To be honest, the only reason I want to try this is because of the color and watermelon sounds so refreshing especially with summer right around the corner. I have heard mixed reviews regarding this product – some say it feels like a typical moisturizer, just not as thick while others say that it’s a great everyday moisturizer.
I know, I know, this isn’t a skincare product, however, I have been searching for a deep moisturizing treatment for my poor lips. Within the past month or so, they have become extremely chapped and dry! I have to lather on vaseline constantly, if not they becomes irritated and almost feel like they’re burning. This is something that I’m definitely going to pick up and hopefully they will help my lips to heal. I haven’t worn any lipstick or liquid lipstick in so long – I miss it!!!!
I might actually invest in this too. My skin has been looking like snake skin and it seems like no matter what I do, I just can’t keep it moisturized. I’m hoping that this will allow my skin to drink in some moisture without adding on any excess product. Plus, look at the packaging. How can this NOT intrigue you?
This is extremely pricey and the only reason it’s on my list is because I received a sample of it about a year ago to try. When I received the sample, my skin was extremely dry and patchy. It even looked irritated. I had tried so many different moisturizers and I would go to sleep with a thick layer of moisturizer on (sometimes it would be a combo of 3 different ones), but nothing seemed to work. After about 4 days of using the oil before bed, there was no evidence of dry patches on my face. It was back to being extremely smooth and supple to the touch. I just loved how it helped my skin and I want that back in my life. This is one that I would highly consider purchasing, but I do have a couple samples of Kiehl’s Since 1851’s oils that I want to try before fully committing to this. Or, I might just use a gift card that I have to purchase this.
I have been on the hunt for a lighter foundation to wear on the weekends. Don’t get me wrong, I love my Maybelline Fit Me Matte & Poreless, but it leaves me craving for more. I have tried MUFE’s HD foundation and I absolutely adore it and love it, so I’m extremely tempted to give this a try. Plus, it’s relatively affordable.
I have been also wanting a lighter weight concealer to use on the weekends. Currently, I’m using Tarte’s Shape Tape and though it give me impeccable coverage, I just feel like it’s a little too heavy for my liking on the weekends. Especially when I just want to dab on concealer, powder my face and head out the door. What really intrigued me about this is the “gel” formulation it claims to have. I have found a lot of hidden gems within the Sephora Collection and this might be another hidden gem. I would have to go in store and test it for myself before I actually commit to purchasing it.
I’m not a huge fan of primers, but with my pores deciding that they want to make themselves seen and known I want to give this a try. I remember watching a MannyMUA video regarding his first impression on this and a few other products and I just remember being blown away by the results. I recently ran out of the other primer I was trying out and to be quite honest, this was still on my want list after all that time. This is one that I will most likely be picking up to try.
This is a little random, but I saw swatches of this on Instagram and it just looked like it would be so much fun to play with! However, I work in an office and it doesn’t really allow me to play with my makeup as much as I would like to. I think this would be a fun palette just to have and I had a couple of the Sephora Collection blushes in the past and absolutely loved them, but since I probably wouldn’t be able to get a lot of use out of this palette, I probably won’t pick this up.
I remember there being a lot of hype around this particular tint from NARS, however, what stopped me from every purchasing it was not only the price, but also some of the effects that certain NARS products had on their skin. I have only tried a couple of things from NARS, but it was only their lip products, so I’m a little hesitant to start using their face products. Also, I know that I can pick this up for a better deal than 15% off.
This is my favorite scent and I would like to think that it’s my signature scent. I used to be able to find it at TJ Maxx for like $30, but I haven’t been able to find it there for about a year. As much as I love it, I just can’t picture myself purchasing an actual bottle for the price point. This rollerball will have to do and I’ve been hesitant to use the remaining amount that I have, so I will most likely pick this up and use it instead.
Another one of my favorite scents that comes at much too high of a price point for this poor girl here. I absolutely adore the way this smells. Personally, it’s a little too heavy for day-to-day wear, but for special events/occasions I love to wear this. I have a few samples of this particular scent that I like to keep in my purses just in case I go anywhere and I need to freshen up. Now, for $60 this will most likely sit in my shopping bag for a while because that’s a pretty penny. If it came in a rollerball, I would pick it up in a heartbeat.
I want to know what you are planning to pick up for the sale or if you have any recommendations for me regarding my extremely dry/chapped lips and textured skin let me know in the comments below! As always thanks so much for sticking with me through all the changes and inconsistencies, it really means a lot.
