Hi hi hi!
I know I’m extremely late with posting this, but I wanted to share my May layout in my BuJo. May was definitely a tough month for me and I’m so glad that I had my BuJo there to provide me with an outlet for everything that I was going through. Work was overwhelming and extremely stressful, my uncle had passed away and we were dealing with planning his funeral, we had three high school graduates in our family, plus it was also my boyfriend’s birthday month. You can say that my emotions were all over the place and I was just feeling so overwhelmed with life.
I had planned a cherry blossom theme for May early on in April, but I have to admit, it was the perfect theme. My uncle’s passing was extremely unexpected and it came as a complete shock to me and my family and with May being so chaotic, the month passed by quickly. Much like a cherry blossom, life is beautiful and precious, but much like a cherry blossom, it is often gone too soon.
This month, I mainly used my BuJo for journaling – like I said, it was a chaotic month and instead of bottling everything up like I usually do, I decided to write everything out. I used different pen colors to mark blog posts, YouTube videos, Instagram posts, etc. in the daily sections and I used pink to write out grateful thoughts/happy moments.
In between the weeks, as per usual, I spent some time jotting down different sales that were going on in the planner community as well as some items that I wanted to add to my wish list. To be honest, I kind of forgot that I had this wish list spread here I may or may not add to it; or I might just have a wish list in each month’s spread. Who knows.
One of the things that I incorporated into this journal that I absolutely love is my monthly recap. I summarized the month in just a few words and took some time to reflect on everything that happened. I loved ending my spread with this because it provided me the opportunity to just recap everything. It also helped provide closure for the month, so when I started June, it felt like a clean slate.
