Hi hi hi!
Oh my goodness! I have exciting news! The ring finally came and it is absolutely gorgeous. I am head-over-heels for it and of course my guy.
I wanted to share a little more about the ring since I’m assuming that this is probably the most interesting part of the whole thing. As most of you know, my fiance proposed to me with a Pandora bracelet, which I love, we shopped for the ring together. We were originally going to look at your typical stores like Kay, Jared and Zales, however I never saw anything that was absolutely stunning and made me think, “This is MY ring.” Needless to say, customizing a ring at any of these places would take months and even then, it would be tough to really picture what I was ordering.
While searching for a ring, my fiance stumbled upon Brilliant Earth. We were both a little hesitant about ordering a ring online because, again, it’s tough to actually visualize what you will be getting. We went back and forth about the pros and the cons and once we heard how long it would take for my order from Kay to come in, it was back to looking at potential rings. I had marked in my calendar that Zales Outlet was having an in-store event on July 26th, however, I was afraid that by the time my fiance and I had gotten down there, they would have ran out of really good options.
So one night after the fiance went to bed, I did a little more research regarding morganite, gemstones and online retailers. What I liked about Brilliant Earth was that it actually showed you the gem and you could customize the color options and cut options (if available). They also provided you a chance to see what the final ring will look like. I was able to really visualize the ring and I have to say, looking at the ring in person, it’s a pretty accurate representation.
Now, without further ado, here’s the ring:
Like I said, it is absolutely stunning and it came a lot earlier than expected. I got my finger sized at Kay’s and I have to say the ring fits true to size. The gemstone is absolutely breath-taking and it’s better than the color represented in the picture – although, I think the rose-gold setting may have something to do with it. I also love the fact that it can “shift” colors depending on lighting or what I’m wearing. It can shift from a peachy/beige, to a peach, to a rosey pink, and so on. I can’t say enough good things about this ring!
Next post, I’m telling the family!
