I wanted to start a new series to hopefully help you guys along your healthy lifestyle journey. As many of you know, I recently started the keto diet. I’m not sure what you consider recent, but I started it on January 1st. I have been documenting my experience mainly through food diaries, but they just became so repetitive, I didn’t see the need to continually post the same thing over and over again.
So instead, I wanted to share little tips here and there that have been helping me stick through the first 21 days of the diet. Wow it has been a while. Just when I thought I was back to blogging, life seems to say otherwise. I wanted to provide an update in regards to my new condo. As I am writing this, I have spent exactly 2 days 3 nights at my new place and I have to say, I’m slowly starting to fall in love with it.
This blog won’t have the really fun bits and by that I mean decorating. I am focusing on the not so fun part which is getting things prepped for the day I actually move things in. I thought that I was for sure going to have more parts to this series, but I have been working on so many different projects at once, there really was no way for me to separate posts the way I wanted to. I wanted to start a new series that I am hoping will help a lot of you out there who may be deciding to buy your first place. For me, I am currently going through the process of buying my first condo! This is a huge step for me and I have so many mixed emotions. I am excited to begin this new chapter of life, but a part of me is also sad/scared because I will be going home to an empty house.
My family and I are close and I have a close relationship with them. I enjoy being surrounded by the chaos because it helps take my mind off of a bad day and my family is just entertaining. I enjoy spending time with them and I am glad that I do enjoy my time with them. However, what really pushed me to making the decision to move out was the fact that I felt like I just had no space and my life was kind of conflicting with theirs. THIS IS A PROCLAMATION THAT I WILL GET BETTER AT DOCUMENTING MY MEALS! Now that that’s out of the way, welcome back to another What’s In Janellie’s Belly! Let’s begin with the usual updates.
If you are subscribed to me on YouTube (youtube.com/msluvly1234) you will see an updated video regarding motivation. I wanted to start doing weekly updates on my channel as well because I feel like this whole health journey is something that a lot of people can relate with. I hope you head over to my channel and decide to check out the video – it is longer than a lot of my other recent videos, but I had a lot of things I wanted to say and I hope that it helps you on your journey and we can continue to support each other.
This past week, I have been honestly dealing with a lot of dookie psychologically. I have had a difficult time sleeping and I would wake up at like 2 or 3 in the morning just thinking about everything that needs to be done the next day or just worrying about all the paperwork and things I need to do for my condo. I just have a lot on my mind and it doesn’t help that my office is having corporate visitors the next couple of weeks (even more stress)! In order to at least pretend to be a functional human being during the day, I opted to not go to the gym in the morning this whole week and by the time I got home I would be so tired (from not being able to sleep) that I would just eat, shower and sleep. There were even some days that I just felt so overwhelmed that I would skip lunch and not eat anything till dinner!
Overall it was just a tough week for me.
