[Lifestyle] In The Kitchen – The Next Pioneer Woman?

Hi hi hi!

Well, to answer that question, definitely not, but it’s always nice for a girl to have a dream right? I love Ree and I love watching her show The Pioneer Woman on Food Network. Her recipes are a mix of comfort food and wholesome food, I’m not sure if that makes sense, but as she says it, “my style of food is simple, yet scrumptious and all my recipes have to be approved by cowboys, hungry kids, and me!” Continue reading “[Lifestyle] In The Kitchen – The Next Pioneer Woman?”

[Lifestyle] Tip Thursday – Meal Prep, Key to Success

Hi hi hi!

I wanted to start a new series to hopefully help you guys along your healthy lifestyle journey. As many of you know, I recently started the keto diet. I’m not sure what you consider recent, but I started it on January 1st. I have been documenting my experience mainly through food diaries, but they just became so repetitive, I didn’t see the need to continually post the same thing over and over again.

So instead, I wanted to share little tips here and there that have been helping me stick through the first 21 days of the diet. You know what they say, it takes 21 days to develop a habit; I’m past that now and I have no want to go back. Today, I wanted to share the importance of food prepping. No matter what diet you are on, food prepping is a great way to give yourself the extra edge.  Continue reading “[Lifestyle] Tip Thursday – Meal Prep, Key to Success”

What’s In Janellie’s Belly? | Starting The Journey Again

Hi hi hi!

A journey is filled with ups and downs and unfortunately I’ve had many downs. With the whole move, I placed my diet and exercise on the back burner and focused on the whole move. Now that I’ve been in my new place for a while, it was time to focus on my health once again. Continue reading “What’s In Janellie’s Belly? | Starting The Journey Again”

Creating A Home | Part 2 – The Work

Hi hi hi!

Wow it has been a while. Just when I thought I was back to blogging, life seems to say otherwise. I wanted to provide an update in regards to my new condo. As I am writing this, I have spent exactly 2 days 3 nights at my new place and I have to say, I’m slowly starting to fall in love with it.

This blog won’t have the really fun bits and by that I mean decorating. I am focusing on the not so fun part which is getting things prepped for the day I actually move things in. I thought that I was for sure going to have more parts to this series, but I have been working on so many different projects at once, there really was no way for me to separate posts the way I wanted to. Anyhow, let’s get into this post. Continue reading “Creating A Home | Part 2 – The Work”

What’s In Janellie’s Belly | What I Ate Wednesday

Hi hi hi!

I hope you guys are having a great week so far and I hope you guys had a great Valentine’s Day! I was a little better when it came to documenting what I ate today, but before I go into that, let’s begin with an update.  Continue reading “What’s In Janellie’s Belly | What I Ate Wednesday”

Creating A Home | A New Journey

Hi hi hi!

I wanted to start a new series that I am hoping will help a lot of you out there who may be deciding to buy your first place. For me, I am currently going through the process of buying my first condo! This is a huge step for me and I have so many mixed emotions. I am excited to begin this new chapter of life, but a part of me is also sad/scared because I will be going home to an empty house.

My family and I are close and I have a close relationship with them. I enjoy being surrounded by the chaos because it helps take my mind off of a bad day and my family is just entertaining. I enjoy spending time with them and I am glad that I do enjoy my time with them. However, what really pushed me to making the decision to move out was the fact that I felt like I just had no space and my life was kind of conflicting with theirs. It’s difficult to explain, but I just felt like it was time.  Continue reading “Creating A Home | A New Journey”
