Hi hi hi!
Sorry I haven’t posted in a bit. After what had happened in Manchester, I kind of stayed off social media. I did post a picture on Instagram, but to be honest, it didn’t feel right doing so. Anyhow, I hope you guys are doing well! Before we get into the rest of the review, I just wanted to take a minute and just ask that you put some positive energy back into the world and today, you be the type of person you needed in your life during your darkest time.
Alrighty, so today’s post is all on Essence’s Strobing Highlighter. I saw this pop up on their website as a new product, and decided I had to pick it up. Now to be honest, I didn’t really know what strobing is, but according to the Huffington Post it’s illuminating your complexion using different highlighters. Hi hi hi!
I seriously have tried to write a review on this highlighter multiple times, but for some reason, I would always get distracted with another product. So I wanted to start a little series talking about some underrated makeup brands that are out there. The first brand is Essence Cosmetics. From what I know, this brand is only available in Ulta and if you want to talk about affordable, these things are affordable. At the Ulta I shop at, they only have a small end-cap dedicated to this brand and it’s easy to overlook because it looks like “play” makeup. The signage is colorful and fun looking and even some of the products remind me of things from the LipSmacker line (not that there’s anything wrong with that). Continue reading “[UNDERRATED BRANDS] Essence Cosmetics”
Although Essence isn’t easily found in the drug store, it is an affordable brand and it’s available on the drugstore side of Ulta. I actually ended up picking up four of these, and I decided to do reviews on the more “everyday” colors first, and this is the first of it. The thing that caught my eye was how shimmery the colors looked in the pan. Continue reading “[REVIEW] Essence – Metal Glam – Frosted Apple (03)”
